The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of controlless gaming, is mind control. Well, we are not quite there yet, however, Microsoft managed to find an adequate solution for gaming without controllers - Project Natal. Using a 3D sensor video camera that tracks the gamer's every move by sending short pulses that identify the distance from the camera to every individual body part, you become the gaming system's controller. We will have all the answers when the system launches this October.

Microsoft has announced that their new hands-free interactive interface for the X-Box 360 gaming platform will not be called project Natal, as it used to be known, but rather as "Kinect for the X-Box 360." What do you think of the change in brand direction? Will this new name help get people into the new device, or are they already eager to play their favorite 360 titles using the new technology's intuitive motion control?

Microsoft's Project Natal interface allows users to directly interact with their X-box 360 console and use natural motion to control program elements. Are you looking forward to being able to paint without a mouse?

Project Natal, Microsoft's long-awaited motion control input device for the XBox 360, is likely going to be sold starting at a $149 pricepoint, according to reports on major gaming sites. What do you think of this price? Is it too much, or are you expecting to have to spend a lot for your Natal?
