Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run any code on their devices, as opposed to only that code authorized by Apple. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many applications previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia, as well as illegally pirated apps. A jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch is still able to use and update apps downloaded and purchased from Apple's official App Store. Will you be jailbreaking your iPad?

Your iPad may seem pretty awesome right out of the box, but the truth is that it's horribly hobbled by the manufacturers and unable to run most of the really good iPad software until you take the time to jailbreak it, replacing its bogus standard Apple software with an open environment that lets you run the code you want, not just the code that Apple wants you to run. Which of these examples of jailbreak-only software is reason enough for you to free your iPad?

IPads are great, but jailbroken iPads are even better, in that they give the user much more control over how the device operates and which code it runs. Many of the best software applications for the iPad won't even run on a standard, unjailbroken iPad.Which of these great applications is the best reason for you to jailbreak your iPad?

iPads that aren't jailbroken are sort of like stock exotic cars. Yeah, there beautiful and have awesome innards, but they really aren't being used to the max until they have an owner who's willing to tinker about a little, searching for extra performance gains hidden by the obfuscations of the manufacturer. Which of these great aps is the best reason for you to jailbreak your iPad?
