Apple is set for a big press conference event on January 26 in San Francisco, and rumors on what exactly will Apple unveil are abounding, with most tech media concentrating on the possibility Apple will release a 10 inch tablet PC using the same touch technology used on the ipod touch and the iphone. Most speculate the tablet will consist of a stronger machine that will basically run the iphone infrastructure and app world.

With Apple set to unveil its islate later this month, tech experts can't seem to agree: will 2010 be the year of the tablet pc? Will tablets become as hot as Netbooks were in 2009?

The current rumor is Apple will launch its tablet, possibly titled iSlate, in a special event on January 26. Wall Street Journal reports today that the tablet will be available in stores by March and sport a $1000 price tag.
