Notion Ink is an Indian company that is bringing to market a new tablet that runs the Android OS. The Adam tablet uses an nVidia chipset to display both HDMI 1080p video and Adobe Flash. It also incorporates a unique dual-mode display that can switch between full-color LCD and low-power e-paper, allowing it to bridge the gap between tablet computer and e-book reader.

The market is swamped with eReaders trying to compete with the current market leader: The Amazon Kindle . Approaches vary: some readers, like the Kindle, and like the Sony Digital Reader are sturdy, like a book, some like Hearst's new Skiff reader, show flexibility and try to come in and save the newspaper industry.
