The Tablet PC had thought to gone bye-bye when another software giant could not forge the market, Apple rejuvenates this arena with the iPad. The Apple iPad was presumed at debut to be the replacement for the Micro-PC. Not more than six months later, LINUX has proven to be more than what consumers are wanting!

The Notion Ink Adam has a core OS that is either Chromium, Android, or Ubuntu. These LINUX OS happen to be the premiere choices for running LINUX OS on any consumer-based product. In comparison, the iPad has support for most of Apple's hi-end products, but it lacks in areas of support because it is an Apple only device. Unfortunately, locking the iPad to Apple only software, and support (albeit the intention of Apple), creates very little consumer demand for the iPad. Consumers are not likely to purchase a device that uses only Apple software, support, and accessories.
